What Does Single Parent Households Look Like Today in 2020?

Drawing from experiencing a single-parent household and becoming a single parent after widowed, economics and education do have a great impact on children living in one parent households. However, many single-parent households emerged to this status in so many ways and are not all financially stressed. Some parents became single parents due to several reasons, such as losing husbands or wives from tragedies of wars, demise of wealthy professional stars, adoptions, or foster parenting, last but not least divorce is noted as more prevalent in the USA. Some have chosen to become single parents of choice via several medical procedures such as  in-vitro fertilization. Based on some of these examples all single parent households may not be dealing with financial struggles.

It has been noted in research, children living in one parent household has decreased remarkedly. Fathers as well as mothers has taken a positive role in raising children solo.   In such a case, children are not all suffering from low-income circumstances.

Still there are many children who are facing instability from several of family situations that branches from being economic disadvantaged, living in underdeveloped neighborhoods, mental health concerns, teen-age pregnancies and other complexities.
